I believe that it is important to provide all-round development to children and make them next-generation leaders in the diverse community we live in.
I hold a Masters in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix and I’m board-certified in Texas (EC-6). As a mother and a certified teacher, I have an unwavering appreciation for quality education and character-development programs. With the experience of owning and operating preschools and an after-school Math and English activity center, my strength is in developing curriculum and age-appropriate hands-on activities. I value relationships with students and parents in establishing a positive learning environment.
I believe in a balanced approach towards early childhood education that allows children to explore and have fun while learning to apply positive thinking in everything they do.
Having been a preschool teacher for 8 years, I am passionate about working with young children. I have two boys who were fortunate to have a great pre-school experience. Because of this, I can personally vouch for the positive impact that early childhood education, and educators, can have on a child’s development. Coming from a diverse background, I can speak five different languages, which has been immensely helpful when working with children from varied cultural and international backgrounds. I believe learning is a life-long process. I keep myself abreast of the latest research in early intervention and special education as a part-time student in Early Childhood Education at the Collin County Community College.
I believe that learning a second language and the aspect of art opens a door to different visions of life at an early age.
I have been a preschool teacher for 15 years working with 3’s to pre-k. I hold a bachelor’s degree in elementary education as well as a degree in Graphic Arts. I come from a multicultural background speaking both English and Spanish fluently. Being a mother myself, I have seen that the importance of parents’ involvement in the growth and education is really crucial. I am passionate about teaching in a fun, nurturing, and engaging way towards a more successful academic approach for the children.
